It is about a girl looking for her fiancé, who has been killed in strange circumstances during the Great War. In her attempt to find the truth she discovers that her boy-friend is one of seven poilus punished by the army. The punishment consisted in being driven into no man's land so that they may be shot (and killed) by the Germans. The director is Jean-Pierre Jeunet and the star is Audrey Tautou, the award-winning team of Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain, a comedy.
