The three men pictured in the link are "The Whiteford brothers from St George(and) show the range of views in Bristol about the war. Graham volunteered to serve in the army; Hubert was imprisoned as a conscientious objector; Wilfred, while refusing to fight in the war, agreed to serve in the Non-Combatant Corps. To this day, their family remains proud of the choices each of them took"

Yes, well worth a visit. A number of photographs and contemporary documents reproduced, with explanatory matter, and a list of 350 identified COs from Bristol and the wider area.

 

The story of the three Whiteford brothers was not unique. Bert Brocklesby was one of four brothers from the north of England. Whilst awaiting the court-martial in France when he was formally sentenced to death, but immediately reprieved, as a conscientious objector,, he was visited by his brother Philip, who had acceepted a commission in the infanrtry. A third brother also accepted a commission, and a fourth, unfit for service, worked as a civilian in the local recruiting office. All four brothers remained in touch with each other for the rest of their lives.
