1rtr Posted 5 October , 2017 Share Posted 5 October , 2017 Hi can anybody give any info on this badge and its origin. Grandad served with the 12/13 NF from I belief 1/4/18 until his capture on the 29/5/18. Was it presented or just a collectable? Any help greatly appreciated as we as a family are trying to build a picture of his service in WW1.

Ron Clifton Posted 5 October , 2017 Share Posted 5 October , 2017 The arms are those of the city of Ypres/Ieper. The crown over the shield is called a "mural crown" and is often seen as part of the arms of cities and towns. Ron
