This British lad is in amongst a number of Canadians at the DUCKS BILL / RED DRAGON CRATER at Givenchy in June 1915. Can anyone tell me if one of these two (2) candidates was an Adjutant and would have all the Officer's kit with him that is listed?

Here is the COG-BR for Cabaret Rouge British Cemetery, the man is the first entry:

Ducks Bill/ Red Dragon was a 2nd RWF action.

To have cleaning kit and a Sam Browne suggests a batman/ officer's servant, which would fit rank of private.

Of course, that is what I meant! Can't trust Canadians to use the correct words. So, was one a Batman?

Both these lads were 1st.

If both men were 1st RWF at the date of death they were not involved in the Red dragon mine action.

I suggest that the 1st RWF diary might/should give a clue as to when that unit was in the relevant area.

Neither man is on my 2nd RWF database, by the way.

Can I suggest that you try the RWF Forum website for help?
