Great to see Damon II (aka Fray Bentos) out of the farm buildings.

still "some" work to do, but ready enough to commemorate the 72hrs of Fray Bentos on the spot itself on Hill 35 near Gallipoli Farm.

In running condition, some sponsor will come to get their promised ride and three families of crewmembers of F41 coming also.

Me and Stijn of nearby Pond Farm will stay on the spot and sleep in the tank for 3 days and 2 nights just like the original crew did.

We will have it a bit more comfortable to say the least.

One can pass by on 22/23 or 23 august during the day !

You can find and follow much more on this tankproject at our facebookpage if you search for "tank Poelkapelle"

Excellent. I saw it just over two weeks ago in Stijn's barn. I nearly fell over when he opened the door. I thought he was being hopeful when he said it would be running 'in a few weeks' but clearly the tank has not been carried out of the barn.

Fantastic event Johan - it was great to be there, and an honour to take part.

Thanks to you, Stijn and all the team.
