Sgt Stripes Posted 11 August , 2017 Share Posted 11 August , 2017 Hi. I posted a question under the title Cheshire Regiment medal mystery and with the help of Great war Forum member the trenchrat22 it was discovered that the medal was awarded to 21838 Thomas Colquhoun Cheshire Regiment. I have obtained his service papers and found out that he served in the 16th Battalion Cheshire Regiment. He was wounded 27 October 1916 GSW back and again on 17 December 1916 GSW foot. Following a period in the Labour Corps he was posted 8 November 1917 to the 8th Yorkshire Regiment where he was wounded again in Italy on 27 October 1918 GSW arm. I was just wondering if anyone knew what was happening on that day in Italy involving the 8th Yorkshire Regiment or possibly supply me with a page from the battalion war diary for that day. Many Thanks
