DirtyDick Posted 20 December , 2004 Share Posted 20 December , 2004 Could be any number of ships, although to have just one survivor is unusual: even HMS Hood had three, and she was blown to pieces in choppy Arctic waters. Have you got his ADM188 (service papers) from the NA - it should list his ships and from that one can do further research? Richard
eskimo Posted 20 December , 2004 Author Share Posted 20 December , 2004 Hi Richard, Thanks for the thread, details from relative very sketchy things get muddled over the years she may well have," the only survivor bit " wronge or it could have been a smaller vessel. And on the HMS Hood detail. One of the survivors was my divisional Officer at HMS Ganges in 1968. Thanks again for the thread. Eskimo.
