Charles Robert Carter

Hi all, 

 

I just wondered if anyone could give any further information on Charles Robert Carter, from east London, resided in Hackney married to May Carter and had 4 children, he was a rifleman in the KRRC; Service No. C/3511.

Died at the Somme on 03rd sept 1916, aged 25. 

His body was never found and has been memorated on the THIEPVAL MEMORIAL.

 

His brother was also in the KRRC, Edwin Carter, died aged 19. 

 

any other information would be greatly appreciated!

I presume you have looked at CWGC record HERE

There is some Service record on Findmypast if you have a subscription HERE but there is an errant page in it for a William Wilson.

Should be an MIC (noted as R/3511 in text search!) & Roll on Ancestry too, & Soldiers Effects HERE again if you have access
