Terry Denham Posted 18 July , 2017 Share Posted 18 July , 2017 Today, the In From the Cold Project had 1,267 new non-com cases accepted. These are all South African members of the Military Labour Bureau/Corps who died in South Africa, East Africa or at sea en route between the two 1916-1918. Nearly all died of disease (mostly malaria and dysentery) and they will be temporarily commemorated in the South African Book of Remembrance until a new memorial is provided for them in that country. These cases resulted from original research undertaken by SAWGP and but for their diligence these men would have remained uncommemorated forever. CWGC will add these names to the WW1 Roll over the next few days. As there are so many names, only a simplified list will appear here as they are added.
