Beselare Posted 19 May , 2017 Share Posted 19 May , 2017 While researching Temp. Lieut. Dunstan Milley Fuller, 11th Battn. Royal Fusiliers (kia 10 August 1917 near the Menin Road), I found the London Gazette entry for his M.C. award. Unfortunately his entry is on the bottom right of the page and only half of the text is visible. The entry I found is on the following page: 7228 Supplement to the London Gazette, 18 July 1917. I have tried entering page 7229 instead of 7228 and I am getting nowhere. There is probably a simple way to do this - can anyone please help? ss002d6252 Posted 19 May , 2017 Share Posted 19 May , 2017 There is When you look at the relevant page the link shown is https://www.thegazette.co.uk/London/issue/30188/supplement/7228/data.pdf If you go in to the address bar and change the page number to 7229 instead of 7228 and hit enter then the next page will load (https://www.thegazette.co.uk/London/issue/30188/supplement/7229/data.pdf) Craig
Phil Wood Posted 19 May , 2017 Share Posted 19 May , 2017 https://www.thegazette.co.uk/London/issue/30188/supplement/7228 gets you page 7228 - above the page image are navigation buttons, just hit the right arrow for the next page. https://www.thegazette.co.uk/London/issue/30188/supplement/7229 is the direct link. https://www.thegazette.co.uk/Edinburgh/issue/13116/page/1400 is the same entry point for the identical Edinburgh Gazette entry. https://www.thegazette.co.uk/Edinburgh/issue/13116/page/1401 is the second half. Beselare Posted 19 May , 2017 Author Share Posted 19 May , 2017 Thanks everyone for your rapid help. I have made a note in my London Gazette notebook of how to do it in the future. Is it just me, or does anyone else have a feeling of trepidation when having to use the London Gazette? Bob
IPT Posted 19 May , 2017 Share Posted 19 May , 2017 I find it easier to just delete data.pdf from the end of the address. Then you can just navigate freely.
