Remembered Today:

Nissen huts ONLY in France during WWI?

Historic England has stated that Nissen huts were never built in England at all during the First World War... It seems they were perhaps only built in France. Can anyone confirm if this is indeed true? If so, would be quite an interesting point... We obviously have loads of surviving Nissen huts throughout the countryside, but were these just from the Second World War?
