Sue Light Posted 17 December , 2004 Share Posted 17 December , 2004 I like this one - any ideas on what Skerry's were training women to do? It looks like commercial training i.e. typing, but I can't work out how that would help to fill men's places. Perhaps it was using the war as a ruse to get women into the wicked world of work! brindlerp Posted 17 December , 2004 Author Share Posted 17 December , 2004 Sue Excellent artwork and colour, have you anymore? The classiest image I have seen to date. I do not have a clue who/what Skerrys did, but I would like to know. Regards Richard
Sue Light Posted 17 December , 2004 Share Posted 17 December , 2004 Richard What woman wouldn't yearn to go to Skerry's, if she could live up to that image - the decoration on the cuffs even seems to have a little of the 'officer' about it! This is the only other one I have - very plain, but another example of a woman in good shape It's not dated though, and on second thoughts is probably WW2 Sue
brindlerp Posted 18 December , 2004 Author Share Posted 18 December , 2004 Hi Sue many thanks for the WLA poster, another 'nice one'. Funny, that the error in the address is printed. Regards Richard
