Paul Ormerod Posted 1 April , 2017 Share Posted 1 April , 2017 (edited) Belatedly remembering Pte 28817 Harry Ormerod, 2nd Bn East Lancashire Regiment, who died on 5 March 1917, near Bouchavesnes. Harry was my great grandfather's cousin, the son of James and Elizabeth Ormerod (née Whitham), who lived at Wallstreams Farm, Worsthorne. Harry is remembered on a memorial stone at the foot of his father's grave in the churchyard of St John's, Worsthorne, as well as on the Thiepval Memorial.
