GrenPen Posted 30 March , 2017 Share Posted 30 March , 2017 I have a family member who was in the West Yorkshire Regiment, and took part in the fighting at Arras. I have come across the following grouping of Arras fatalities, all of whom hailed from Barnsley.https://livesofthefirstworldwar.org/community/4449 Soldiers in the KRRC, WYR and Northumberland Fusiliers found themselves in the 21st (Training) Reserve Brigade at Blyth. This could well explain why so many of the fallen were in the Northumberland Fusiliers.
