Heres another image from the site, the shattered main tower of Ypres clothhall and a cavalry man. Below is an image from a 140th Bde, 47th (London) Div, card from Christmas 1917 showing a trench railway in the Salient, where they spent most of 1917. Soren Posted 20 December , 2004 Share Posted 20 December , 2004 I love the graphic works from the war, I'm amazed at how they were actually quite forthright about the conditions our soldiers were fighting in. Having said that I understand that there was censorship of Christopher Nevinsons 'Paths of Glory', from what I remeber the generals did'nt think that his work was representational of the average Tommy...
