Can somebody please help me with a trench map of the area marked in orange.

The map I am looking for should be as close to September 20th 1917. This was an assault by A&SH 1/7th which ran across from Varna Farm to Mon Bulgare then north to Bulow Farm and beyond to Pheasant Farm I believe.

Bulow Farm has been of interest in the past on the forum but I couldn't find anything to show where it actually was.

Hi,

Is this the one you want (courtesy of McMaster, who have the related trench maps at http://lt1.mcmaster.ca/ww1/wrz4mp.php?grid=28):

Results for search varna farm

Trench Name Nearest Place Map Sheet Number Map Squares
Varna Farm St Julien 28NW2 C 4 a 5.1

Results for search bulow farm

Trench Name Nearest Place Map Sheet Number Map Squares
Bülow Farm [& pillbox] St Julien 28NW2 C 6 a 8.8

Here are the two locations from the TNA trench map DVD - map dated 30/6/17.  But sod's law the two places are right on the edge of the map.  I hope it is of some use.

This extract (French surveyed Belgian Army trench map printed in August 1917) shows the whole of your (yellow and orange) marked area in some detail...

Hi Croonaert

Apologies for this but I have just discovered that I need a couple of squares off the right of your map.

You should see Quebec Farm as in my original post. It is just to the right of my orange markings.

If you could manage same I would be very much obliged.

Here's a slightly wider view...

'Quebec Farm' is shown under it's French name of 'Maison de Saxe'...

Croonaert hi,

On the map you posted are the numerals in Blue the positions of known German artillery? I only ask as 82-69,by the Steenbeek, is the battery position of D/59 Bde RFA on 10 Oct 1917 which is where my Grandfather was wounded by counter battery fire.
