GIPE is  Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics [Pune India], so its digitised books are on these topics in a broad sense. 

In another topic I posted a link to a book on the Indian Army.

Some of the files have the icon of a lock next to them, but the book on the Indian Army also had this, yet I was able to download without a problem.

I noticed the following 

Turkey in the world war  by Emin, Ahmed 1930

http://dspace.gipe.ac.in/xmlui/handle/10973/36278  This had the lock icon, so I don't know if it is downloadable.

 

There seem to be a some books on Russia WW1 period, and some on the Indian Army generally

That's good to know Mark. Hopefully all the files with the lock icon will also download without a problem
