Blackie250 Posted 14 December , 2004 Share Posted 14 December , 2004 Hi, I'm trying to find out where exactly the 2/6th btn the Scottish Rifles were around May 1917 I know they were posted to Ireland in January 1917 but I have no exact location, anyone got any idea's?. Malcolm Posted 14 December , 2004 Share Posted 14 December , 2004 2/6th Cameronians ( Scottish Rifles) Formed at Hamilton Sept 1914. January 1915 in 195 Brigade, 65th Division. By August 1915 at Cambusbarron near Stirling. In November 1915 with 2/7th formed No 18 Battalion in 195 Brigade. January 1916 resumed identity and absorbed 2/7th Bn. March 1916 to Billericay and by July 1916 at Terling, Essex. January 1917 to Ireland, to Kilworth. January 1918 in Galway and disbanded on 15th May 1918.
