Camp Site Location Needs Identifying

Mr Training

Can anybody assist with this location. Appears to be a pre-war volunteer camp. Sand dunes in foreground. A river seemingly in the distance. A key identifying feature is the odd looking tower/building on the right of the picture. Looks like a lighthouse Tower Beacon rather than chimney?

Could be Leasowe Lighthouse which is on the coast of the Wirral

Hi - yes I did pick up Leasowe as a possible location. Searching on light house beacons picked it up. I couldnt quite match the actual tower to any images tho.

Google "Leasowe Camp 1910" and click on "Images" and you'll get several showing tented camps there. Unfortunately they also show permanent buildings very close to the  tower that I can't spot in Mr Training's photo.

Doubtless you've come across
