Insurance Question

Recommended Posts

Hi

I have a 1914/1918 Trio, a Trench Lighter, several photographs, School Medals

from 1903/04 and 1905. A Liverpool Police Whistle, 1919/45 Defence Medal and numerous other items including passports and Pay Book related to an RFA serviceman. I would like to insure said set but have no idea as to the value.

Regards from Cape Town

Colyn

If the items you describe are related to one person I would hazard an INSURANCE Valuation of around £300.00{Not sure what that is in Rand}this is for Replacement {Though irreplacable} Not as a Sale Value which would be considrably less,In effect you can insure the items for what you consider them to be "Worth" However the Higher the Value the Higher the Premiums!

Thanks for that, it really is appreciated. I have most of the guys life history actually. All the items were recovered from a local rubbish tip after his wife's death and subsequent 'house clearance' by the Grand Daughter. I did however recover most of the discarded items, and secured permission to retain them with the promise that they would not be sold.

Thanks again

Colyn
