bigalni Posted 20 February , 2017 Share Posted 20 February , 2017 What is the consensus amongst members as to the best way to display bayonets. In the main I have "Long" bayonets ,a growing collection and it annoys me having them on a shelf or in a cupboard where they cannot properly be seen and admired. Any ideas on the best way to accommodate and display them to best advantage? Pictures would be good! Alan.
593jones Posted 20 February , 2017 Share Posted 20 February , 2017 One unusual method I've seen is from a firm in France. They sell cast resin rifle forends to which the bayonet can be attached as per the original. Guest Posted 12 December , 2018 Share Posted 12 December , 2018 I've recently developed a new way to display my bayonets in a vertical position, I make them and sell them on ebay. I'll be starting a wall mounted version in late December of '18. I've attached some pics. I only address US-M1's, M4's, M7's and MK98's right now. And these (Verticals) are safest (relatively) on lengths of 15" and under. They can be used with M1905's , M1917's, or any of the Mauser types but the Lugs have to be redesigned for the specific lug channels. Anyway, thought you might find them interesting. I was here looking for the proper orientation for Horizontal Displays i.e. blade facing to the left? Right?. I saw it posted somewhere and in looking I came upon this thread. Thanks!
