Guest marmite Posted 13 December , 2004 Share Posted 13 December , 2004 I am trying to trace the records of my grandfather. David John Davies of the Royal West Kent Reg. He was a Segeant Granade Thrower. He was taken prisoner( unkown when or where details) and escaped very near to the end of the War. At his funeral we were approached by a man who had been a POW with him and rememberd him as Marmite. Could any one please help
Chris_Baker Posted 13 December , 2004 Share Posted 13 December , 2004 I presume that you have checked the "Behind the wire" database of records of British POWs, on the Long, Long Trail?
