Just stumbled across this thread.  I believe one of the individuals listed in the OP is a relative:

HASLEDEN, James

Private  942

2/5 Bn, South Lancashire Regiment

Died 19.04.15  Age 41

Commemorated: United Kingdom Book of Remembrance

His death occurred while the 2/5th South Lancs Regt was still in the UK, hence there's no MIC for him.  Anyone know who did the research to have his name added to the UK Book of Remembrance?  I'd be keen to confirm that he is, indeed, my relative.

Many thanks,
Mark

Have only just seen this comment. I'm afraid I can't take too much credit for the research, that was mostly done by the fine chaps at St Helens Rolls of Honour. They have information about him on their website: http://www.sthelensrollsofhonour.co.uk/casualty-3430-James_Haseldon.html

Hi Paul,

I traced James Hasleden's family back at least 4 generations but can't find a logical place where he might fit into my family tree.  That said, my Haselden line goes back over 300 years with most members being born, living and dying with an 8 mile radius of St.Helens town centre, so the odds are good that he does fit somewhere but it's lost to the mists of time for now.

I'm hugely grateful to those who populated the St.Helens Rolls of Honour website.  It's been a tremendous resource and a great memorial to the fallen.
