Steven Broomfield Posted 9 January , 2017 Share Posted 9 January , 2017 Some lovely pictures - really atmospheric. I think the wicket could have done with the heavy roller, though.
frev Posted 10 January , 2017 Share Posted 10 January , 2017 Great photos - thanks for sharing! There were 2 Sister Smiths serving at Harefield in Oct 1915, and they were actually sisters (ie. siblings) - Elsie Dora Smith and Winifred Jean Smith. The Sister Smith referred to in 3 of these photos is not Winifred, who wore glasses, (pictured here, where I've just added her details): http://discoveringanzacs.naa.gov.au/browse/person/5225 So would therefore be her younger sister Elsie Dora Smith. There were also 2 Sister Jones's at Harefield in Oct 1915 - Edith Jones and Maggie Jones - Edith wore glasses, Maggie didn't. Cheers, Frev

Guest Reconwarrior Posted 22 March , 2017 Share Posted 22 March , 2017 Alfred Kemp was my great grandfather. It is great to see these photos I haven't seen before.
