I make the length 52 mm.

It had a blade soldered into it to make a letter opener.

It seems to have the same headstamps as which indicates Egypt and looks like a mauser round....however here are bullet caselengths around the 52mm region.

This is the ammunition found with Lee Harvey Oswalds Carcano. The headstamps on his ammunition shows that it was made by an American Company (WCC) and used by the Greeks during their Civil War in 1949. Lee bought these rounds when they came on sale as surplus in the 1960s.
