Ottawa1880 Posted 1 January , 2017 Share Posted 1 January , 2017 Hello all, I have been looking up an older thread on Red Cross Hospitals as my grandfather Lt. W.T. Bassett RFC was briefly transferred to 2 Red Cross Hospital, Rouen after crashing before being sent back to the UK. He was with the 2ASDP in either Hesdin or Berck-sur-mer at the time. I am trying to track his movements before being admitted to 2RXH. His service records state that he was admitted to "aam hospital" but with no location on 30.06.1918. He is then admitted to 2RXH on 1.07.1918 and shipped to London Hospital on 3.07.1918. I am curious as to how the choice of hospitals was made at that time? [For those interested, he also spent time in 24 General Hospital Etaples, suffering from influenza shortly after his arrival in France 13.05.1918 - 23.05.1918]
