CARROLL, Edward Private 7576 1 Bn, Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) Died 29.03.16 Age 17 Commemorated: United Kingdom Book of Remembrance DONALDSON, Alexander Private 3582 7 Bn, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Died 22.10.16 Age 21 Commemorated: United Kingdom Book of Remembrance FORSTER, Frederic Izon Private 19335 8 Bn, Lincolnshire Regiment Died 05.04.18 Age 26 Commemorated: Arras Memorial, France GOURLAY, William Keddie Private S/6967 3 Bn, Seaforth Highlanders Died 27.03.18 Age 22 Commemorated: United Kingdom Book of Remembrance ROSS, William Dawson Private S/7001 11 Bn, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Died 22.12.18 Age 24 Commemorated: United Kingdom Book of Remembrance NOT FORGOTTEN Several of the above were In From the Cold Project cases. - Pte Carroll died post-discharge of tuberculosis (Volunteer: Mark Duffy) - Pte Donaldson died post-discharge of tuberculosis (Volunteer: Mark Duffy) - Pte Gourlay died post-discharge of tuberculosis (Volunteer: Mark Duffy) - Pte Ross died post-discharge of heart disease (Volunteer: Mark Duffy) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Grave Reference: M. 489. Cemetery: EDINBURGH (COMELY BANK) CEMETERY Additional Information: Son of Margaret Gourlay of Edinburgh. N.B. Recent research has shown that Private Gourlay is buried here.
