Attached is a list (taken from the CWGC) of all those men who died on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day 1916 and are buried in the UK.  if you are looking for somewhere to go on 24, 25 or 26 Dec this year you might like to visit one of these men.

Thanks.

The lists of died/killed overseas are interesting.  The Indian Labour Corps and the Indian Mule Corps had a bad Christmas in Mesopotamia.  The Canadians had a bad day west of Loos as did the 1st Lincolns.  And in Ypres the 17th KRRC lost 9 men near Essex Farm on Christmas Day and down at Plugstreet there certainly wasn't a repeat of 1914.
