borstal Posted 9 December , 2004 Share Posted 9 December , 2004 The Recruitment Registers moves on, but once again I am seeking help over a regimental abbreviation; It is "AMS" and comes from a register dated 1914. For those of you who have expressed an interest in this project in the past, it is hoped to have the index available by October/November 2005. Details will be posted nearer the time. Michael Pegum Posted 10 December , 2004 Share Posted 10 December , 2004 The Army Medical Staff became the R.A.M.C. in 1898. The A.M.S. letters shouldn't have been used in 1914. Michael Pegum
