Jockbhoy67 Posted 26 November , 2016 Share Posted 26 November , 2016 (edited) Looking for some help... MIke Chappel mentions in his book British Battle Insignia 1 1914-18 that support troops of the 15th Scottish division did not wear any patch on their arms "but that all supporting troops wore the divisional sign painted on their helmets and tartan patches on their sleeves". can anyone confirm what tartan the patch was? in his illustration from the same book showning a member of the 15th Scottish Division, it appears to be Royal Stuart Tartan... can anyone confirm that? Cheers and thanks all.. Edited 26 November , 2016 by Jockbhoy67
DSw99 Posted 12 November , 2018 Share Posted 12 November , 2018 It is Royal Stuart tartan - I had that confirmed by the curator of modern history and military collections at National Museums Scotland.
