BarbaraG Posted 24 November , 2016 Share Posted 24 November , 2016 Hello folk Subs. soon due on Ancestry - wondering whether worth upgrading to 'fold3' or consider move to Find my Past.????? Have found a ref. for John Weatherhead (who I've been researching as his grave marker has been identified on IWM Bawtrwee photographs - not sure if I should have put this there?). UK Royal Hospital Chelsea Pensioner Soldier Service Records 1760-1920 Ref: b. abt. 1879 Lewisham, Kent. Service start year: 1898 Regiment: Medicals Staff Corps Reg. no. 11695 Attestation Papers!!!!!! If any one has used fold3 - would there be much more information or might I find it somewhere else??? Any advice appreciated, thanks Barbara
TEW Posted 24 November , 2016 Share Posted 24 November , 2016 I'm sure the same records are with Findmypast. Which is completely free in UK libraries!! If you sign up (but don't pay) with FMP they occasionally make some collections free. Or if you keep an eye on this thread you may be able to get a month on FMP for a whole £1 TEW

kieranh Posted 10 March , 2017 Share Posted 10 March , 2017 (edited) Hi all, I am wondering if anybody might know what The Royal Hospital Chelsea reference number m.n.c 5146 might mean, it came from the War Pensions Agency ?? My Great Grandfather received a Pension for 'Multiple Neuritis" which I think was the term used for shell shock. Any help or referral would be appreciated. Many Thanks..........Kieran Edited 10 March , 2017 by kieranh
