rhimsl Posted 8 December , 2004 Share Posted 8 December , 2004 I'm researching a private who was with the 2nd Northumberland Fusiliears. I know the 2nd NF landed at Havre on January 18, 1915. However, the Private in question's MIC gives a date of March 6, 1915 as his qualification date for his 1914-15 Star and Theatre of war: France. Does this confirm that he was infact a replacement? Would he have been sent over with a group of others and how would the process of being a replacement work? Thanks in advance for the help to all who reply!
