yorkshirerose Posted 13 November , 2016 Share Posted 13 November , 2016 Hope someone can help....we bought 1914-1919 The Great War For Civilisation Medal on Ebay as the name was a family name and wondered if it was a relation....unfortunately it isnt so I would love to find out more about this person and reunite the medal with any surviving family. All I have found out so far is he was called William Rhodes, his service number is 112831, the medal says RA which I have found out is Royal Garrison Artillery, on Ancestry there is another number for him on his medal card which is 051631 for Army Ordinance Corp....other than that we know nothing about where he may have come from so finding him is proving difficult....would love some help and advice on how we could give this back to his family. Thanks... YR
