PhilB Posted 8 November , 2016 Share Posted 8 November , 2016 (edited) The MoD has announced plans to close Fulwood barracks. Dating from the 1840s and built as a response to the Chartist riots, it has been an integral part of North West military history through all major conflicts. I see that there are 5 golf courses listed as surplus requirements. Any idea where they are and what military use they were for? Gardenerbill Posted 14 November , 2016 Share Posted 14 November , 2016 Petiton duly signed. Please note Fulwood barracks houses the excellent Lancashire Regiments Museum.
