has anyone got any information on

Frederick Brereton private died 9/10/1917

I have just got his medal card which lists The Shropshire light Infantry No:19754 and also Royal Warwickshire Regiment No:27779, was this usual to change regiments inWW1

The 2nd Battalion, Royal Warwickshire Regiment, 22nd Brigade, 7th Division were located near Ypres in October 1917.

Hi Chris

According to SDGW he was born in Lydbury North, Salop which is also where he lived until he enlisted. He enlisted in Ludlow. Hopes this helps

Soldiers who Died in the Great War. Originally published as books but now available as CD (DVD?). I believe it's fairly expensive but there are usually pals who will do the odd look up if you ask VERY nicely
