TrevorHH Posted 24 October , 2016 Share Posted 24 October , 2016 I am at present researching the life of 2nd Lt F A Campbell Tank Corps, who was wounded and evacuated back to the UK at the end of 1916. Frustratingly the name of the hospital he was treated at in the UK is unclear. See the attached photo from his service record at Kew. Any ideas as to which one it would be please Many thanks. Dai Bach y Sowldiwr Posted 24 October , 2016 Share Posted 24 October , 2016 (edited) The handwritten bit says "Rock Ferry" which is i think in or near Birkenhead on the Wirral. Yes. Ionic Street Military Hospital, Rock Ferry http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=132201.0 You can see the school buildings , so possibly this is the very same hospital: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@53.3738592,-3.0093523,3a,90y,309.67h,86.13t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sYAWbIDDNSu1FKISTnzUoFg!2e0!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en Edited 24 October , 2016 by Dai Bach y Sowldiwr
