Giles Guthrie Posted 1 October , 2016 Share Posted 1 October , 2016 Good Afternoon I was wondering if anyone could explain the below King's Reg in a medal roll. It is in relation, i think, to a Victory Medal only being awarded to a soldier (John Mooney 8th Royal Lancs 15302) and his war medal withheld. His qualifying date for medals was Sept 1915 so should have received a trio. KR(12) CRV 162/13D/17/1/24,8149ADT Any advice gratefully received. EDWARD1 Posted 1 October , 2016 Share Posted 1 October , 2016 (edited) It would appear that the Victory Medal was returned for an amendment to some detail, CRV confirmed Reciept Voucher. When corrected and returned the address of the recipient had changed and the medal was returned and destroyed after no claim for 10yrs (KR1912 para 1743) His medal index card does show the award of a 15 trio Eddie Edited 1 October , 2016 by EDWARD1
