Guest Posted 27 September , 2016 Share Posted 27 September , 2016 Hello - can anyone tell me what the terms of engagement were for the Line Cavalry and the Household Cavalry were between 1902 and 1914. The infantry's terms of engagements changed between the Boer War and the Great War. I am trying to establish if anything similar happened in the Cavalry. Any pointers would be gratefully received. Thanks. MG
ss002d6252 Posted 27 September , 2016 Share Posted 27 September , 2016 Should be in the annual army returns if there were any changes. Usually in the long text section at the start of the return. I'm out but can look later if you want. Craig

Craig I have the following Colour and Reserve service for the Line Cavalry based on the GARBA: Up to Jan 1905...............3 and 9 Jan - Sep 1905...............8 and 4 Sep 1905 onward...........7 and 5 Just trying to see if I have missed anything. The demands of the Line Cavalry were relatively low on an annual basis. Edit. I See GARBA has ten year tables, so I think I have the answer. - as above. Thanks for the nudge in the right direction.
