Guest papadeltasierra Posted 3 December , 2004 Share Posted 3 December , 2004 My understanding is that it was not unusual for soldiers to be transferred between regiments to rebuild regiments. If this happened, would the soldier have multiple medal cards at the PRO? Thanks, Paul D Smith.
Max Posted 3 December , 2004 Share Posted 3 December , 2004 In short, no. All the mans postings would be included on the one card. This isn't to say that split MICs don't exist, because they do but not because of the number of regiments a man was posted to. Andy

"Split" Card usually come about when the Compilers made errors in Spelling Surnames ,Or Due to being Commissioned;Etc,with a seperate Card for a 1914 or 1914~15 Star & another for the BWM & AVM;rather than for service in other Units,When the other Units are normally recorded on the same card. Other Cards Exist to record DCM,MM,MSM,MiD,TFEM,TEM,.
