NigelS Posted 23 March , 2021 Share Posted 23 March , 2021 A local news website gives details of a suggested walk - lockdown restrictions allowing - at the Woodland Trust's Langley Vale site (that of the previous post) near Epsom Langley Vale walk to explore First World War memorial woodland's new features. The new wood sculpture (Witness by John Merrill) pictured might not be to everyone's taste , but was inspired by Paul Nash's trench landscapes and will doubtless improve with aging. This is a site that's clearly in its infancy, and one that is going to develop & mature over many years. Further details can be found on the Woodland Trust's web pages for the site Langley Vale Wood NigelS
