FitzM Stacke in his book 'Worcestshire Regiment in the Great War' the regiment embarked aboard the ships SS Lake Michigan and the SS Herschel. However in Ray Westlake's book 'British Battalions in France and Belgium 1914' he says that the battalion embarked on the SS Herlborough. (SS Lake Michigan being the second). Does anyone have access to the 2nd Battlions War Diary or can confirm either it was the Herschel or herlborough. Regards Peter Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
