bkristof Posted 1 December , 2004 Share Posted 1 December , 2004 Today during construction works they discovered a 250 kg German shell of WW1. It was in the middle of the center. The DOVO (disposal unit) noticed it still contained 6,5 kg HE who was active. There was no evacuation and the bomb is transported to Poelkappelle for destruction. I will look for more info... This year will be more, there were some big finds this year (april: at dadizele about 50 shells), This one of 250 kg (500 pound); and many others...
