BloodMedic Posted 11 June , 2016 Share Posted 11 June , 2016 I'm trying to do a bit of detective work for the Detectives or should I say trying to find out if any Derbyshire Police Officers where Killed during the Battle of the Somme for the Derbyshire Police. The Chesterfield section of the Derbyshire Police are trying to find any information of Police Officers that where killed in battle during the First World War especially during the Battle of the Somme, According to the Police there where 4 different Police Forces in Derbyshire so records are not easierly available or missing. If any member has information I would be most grateful as Derbyshire Police wish to pay homage during the 100th Somme commerations.

clk Posted 11 June , 2016 Share Posted 11 June , 2016 Hi, Derby Police Museum appear to have a Derbyshire Constabulary Roll of Honour. It might be worth contacting them to see if they have any details/dates behind the names. Regards Chris
