funfly Posted 7 June , 2016 Share Posted 7 June , 2016 This is a copy of a post in the 'Recruitment' section. 5th. June was the centenary of the death of Lord Kitchener who died this day in 1916. Some of you may remember me as we had a long thread here about the Kitchener poster and a number of members were able to offer valuable pieces of information about the poster including photographs of it posted across the UK. To correspond with the centenary, I have published a book called Kitchener Wants You - the Man, the Poster, and the Legacy. I know that's blatant advertising but many on here contributed to it and the Great War Forum has been acknowledged in the book. I think there is a service of remembrance in London on this Sunday.
