HarrogatePal Posted 6 June , 2016 Share Posted 6 June , 2016 Captain Ablitt of the 1/5th West Yorkshires led a party from Vierstraat to Ridge Wood on 25th April, moving to Ouderdom the next day. The 1/5th had withdrawn during the 25th from Wytscaete to Vierstraat and I wonder why Ablitt headed north leaving the remains of the Battalion at Vierstraat. Any ideas as to why he did this, and what was happening at Ridge Wood? Thanks John
