Hello,

Does anyone have any information on the H.M.S. Zoraide..

Absolutely any information will be useful.

I have a picture which my mother gave me, but I have nothing more. I'll try and scan and post a picture later.

Thanks

Hello

ZORAIDE was commanded by Captain Herbert C.J. Grant (ret) from 22 Sep 14.

Then by CDR William Marshall, RD, RNR from 30 Jan 15.

Later, she was commanded by LT Archibald Hogarth, RNR, who had been in the ship from 26 Sep 14.

In the course of the war, she only lost two men. One to drowning in February 1918 and one to influenza in October 1918.

Hello Mandy

The officer information comes from contemporary NAVY LISTs.

Casualty/death information is taken from my dbase, taken from CWG and collated from primarily ADM 242 and other Admiralty sources. This does pick up a number of names and causes of death not available through CWG.
