Lancashire Fusilier Posted 6 May , 2016 Share Posted 6 May , 2016 I would imagine your spring-loaded, folding muzzle cover is a rare item, so a very nice find. Regards, LF
4thGordons Posted 7 May , 2016 Share Posted 7 May , 2016 Very nice! (who knew they were made by Marks and Spencer ) So here is a serious question - do they fit with the early small headed nosecap screw or is a large headed one (as shown) required? The point of the question is would they have been issued with a longer screw or would it have been expected that they would be attached with the foreend bolt. Does anyone know how these were issues? were they issued as add ons to soldiers or were they attached to rifles prior to issue, or at a unit (rather than individual) level. Great find! 5thBatt Posted 7 May , 2016 Author Share Posted 7 May , 2016 You really need to use the large head screw as it is slightly longer as the small head screw is countersunk
