hello i am new to this site

my uncle was private james masters who served in

7th battalion. south lancashire regiment

ww1 he was killed in action 02/11/1917

does any one have any information about him

or where the regiment was at that time

In October and early November, the 7th Bn was holding trenches in the area of the Ypres-Comines canal. On the 2nd November, a new section of trench held by "D" Coy was blown in killing a sergeant and 5 men and wounding several others.
