Just keep telling us where and when you are going Chaz, it's good of you to offer. I wish more members would do the same.

Hi Billy.

just got back , bit too hot to leave the dog in the car at Beaumont this time, so found a few smaller ones to visit, 10trees and others smaller than those many visit.

going back end of June/beginning of July but will probably keep away from the bigger 'festivals' that will be occurring.

saw some very well maintained cemeteries while there were a few that could do with a hand before celebrations.

big eye opener Achiete le Petit , a WW2 aircrew in a well cared for pretty communal cemetery while in the next field were 1314 German WW1 war graves with just plain crosses, no flowers, some 2 to a bed. the grass was in need of cutting, only two head stones as would be recognised by cwgc , ironically these two were Jews.. who would know what was to happen in a few years time!!

end of the month visit, wont be going to many major sites for the start of July due to restrictions and dignitaries , but will pass on our best to our and your relatives in smaller grave yards.

Hi Chas,

Apologies, I have slipped up. I actually have both of these headstones already.

When people like yourself are good enough to offer photos I check what I want from the particular cemetery on CWGC  -  and then I check to see if I already have them, and on this occasion I forgot to check!

I don't suppose there is any chance of a refund?

no problem, Frevent is where we shop a couple of times a week and Doullens is on the way to Thiepval, Beaumont and many in between so would have been on the way.
