jim_davies Posted 29 November , 2004 Share Posted 29 November , 2004 Thought this had been covered before but couldn't pull anything up through a search. Wound strips-obviously awarded for gunshot, shrapnel, bayonet wounds etc inflicted by the enemy. But would they be awarded for similar wounds suffered during training or of illness/disease suffered on active service ie trench foot, dysentery etc. Thanks, Jim
CROONAERT Posted 29 November , 2004 Share Posted 29 November , 2004 It has been covered several times before (try "wound stripes" with an "e"!). But ,in answer to your question, no, they had to be caused somehow "by enemy action". Dave.
jim_davies Posted 29 November , 2004 Author Share Posted 29 November , 2004 Thanks Dave, I guess spelling words correctly now and again might help.
